The SEMO Beef Dairy Development Project represents a group of crop producers from Southeast Missouri. This producer group initiated the Southeast Missouri Dairy Development project with funding from the Missouri Agricultural and Small Business Development Authority to investigate the feasibility of bringing new livestock investments to the region to take advantage of the growing supply of co-products from the existing processing industries and the emerging biofuels industry.

This project was conceived from these vertically integrated Southeast Missouri crops and processing industries.
